We can provide Computer Aided Design (CAD) services to create the cut-ready file for your part, sign, or artwork. We can easily create nested arrays of a single part to produce full sheet cut files that minimize material waste. For artistic or sign creations, we have a library of thousands of fonts and clip art images to choose from. Design proofs will be sent in a .pdf file for review and approval prior to cutting.
Our core capability is Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metal. We utilize a Torchmate 2 CNC plotter on a custom built water table coupled with a Thermal Dynamics 80 amp plasma cutter.
We can cut designs from the materials listed below. We can provide quotes that include or exclude material, if you wish to provide the metal from your own stock or supplier. Quotes for cutting stainless steel or aluminum will be slightly higher due to the use of pure nitrogen to reduce oxidation of the cut surface.
Our heavy duty 5' x 10' CNC table can handle large and heavy material.
We can cut items up to 60 inches wide and 120 inches long without repositioning of the material. Longer items may be able to be cut, depending on design and type of material being used.
We can cut material up to 5/8" thick and as thin as 18 guage (.0478") with excellent results. Please note that the plasma flame creates a bevel angle of 3-5 degrees and the bevel will be more evident, the thicker the material. Please see our FAQ page for more details on cut quality.
Our conventional plasma process creates a kerf (cut width) of approximately .06" with an overall cut accuracy within .003".
Limited non-structural fabrication services can be provided to complete the item you are creating. Fabrication services include cutting, grinding, and welding and is for mild steel only.
